How do I get listed in the referral database?

There are two ways to be listed in the gancao.net referral database.

1) Write a case history for gancao.net. Once the case history form is filled out, you'll be asked to fill out another form that will send all of your referral information in for inclusion in the referral database. The requirements and form to fill out can be found here.

This case study writing is not a test of your abilities as a practitioner but a payment for the time necessary to put your listing on-line. With your help we can all benefit from each others' experience.

2) Be a member of a TCM friendly professional organization. Tell your organization to send me their practitioner database. Then I'll upload it all at once. Or just send me the contact person's e-mail address and I'll take it from there.

If you are a member of a participating organization but you don't see your listing at gancao.net, just fill in this form, and we'll take care of the rest.

I will upload the roster of just about any acupuncture association. I limit those that I upload to those that are TCM friendly. TCM Friendly professional organizations are those that support Traditional Chinese or Oriental Medicine as opposed to "Medical Acupuncture" which may focus on the Western biomedical model to treat people with needles. One of the underlying agendas here at gancao.net is to present TCM and the traditional Chinese medicine paradigm as opposed to western medicine's interpretation of acupuncture. TCM Friendly organizations include the CSOMA, and the AAOM. Usually, if you see "OM" anywhere in the initials, that means "Oriental Medicine" and that's what we're all about here.

We have just recently begun to upload the referral information from physician acupuncturists. The requirement of a case study remains the same however. Part of this case study requirement does include an OM diagnosis. If you are an MD or Chiropractor or other biomedical practitioner who has enough OM education to fill out this form and make an OM diagnosis, your referral information is welcome here.

3) If you see your name uploaded and the info is wrong, then you can most certainly send me a correction or an update. Just click here and fill in the blanks. Or if you would like to add your website's address or e-mail address, you can do that also via the link found above.
