Western Diagnosis: dysmenorrhea
Medical History: always worried,easy to be angry, lack of exercise,eat mostly out doors.
Questioning exam: A women aged 32,spasmodic pain in the lower abdomen, painful distension radiating in both flanks, severe and persistent low back pain accompanied by premenstrual tension, nausea, vomiting,headache and emotional disturbance for about 16 years.
Pulse exam: pulse is deep and wiry.lower abdomen reluctant to pressure.
Tongue exam: tongue has purple congestive spots.
OM Diagnosis: Retardation of Qi and stagnation of blood caused by liver Qi obstruction.
Treatment Principle: Regulate liver Qi;
eliminate congestion.
Point Prescription: GuanYuan( using Moxa, if cold is involved), ZuSanLi, and SanYinJiao.use reducing manipulation.
Herbal Formula: none.
Lifestyle Prescription: none.
Results: After 6 treatments, all discomfort before and during the menstruation vanished.patient reported no recurrent after 8 months.
