The Use of Acupuncture and Herbs for Meniere’s Disease
Chief Complaint: Dizziness
Western Diagnosis: Meniere’s Disease
Medical History: 54 yo male with 15 year history of Meniere’s disease. Vertigo, tinnitus and hearing loss, vomiting when severe. Tried diuretics, salt restriction, conventional medications, all without benefit.
Questioning exam: Had not tried alternative methods. Has had recurrent severe episodes with increased severity. (Always has the basic symptoms, however).The frequency of severe attacks has steadily increased, from 1 per year to 6 this summer.Heat exacerbates the symptoms. He also has a feeling of fullness in his ears.

Medical History: 76 yr old female with tinnitus and dizziness for 5 years after shingles of the mouth and ear. She has atrial fibrillation, 2 previous pulmonary embolisms. Medications: Lanoxin, Coumadin, Synthroid
Pulse exam: Heart-weak, skipped beats, kidney weak, Liver- wiry

The Chinese Medicine Treatment of Dizziness
Chief complaint Dizziness for one week.
Medical History Emily, 36-year old, female. The patient has had edema which is more severe in the lower legs for one year. Three months ago, the patient visited her regular doctor and did a few refine checkup. She has glomerulonephritis and the urinary protein: +++, urinary red blood cell: 150. She has taken wilfordine for more than one month and gotten much better. The urinary protein: +, urinary red blood cell account: 50.
